Around to it projects 1

The first "to-it" project was this bow holder. The purpose of the bow holder is ... (in hopes) that the hair bows will not get crushed in a basket or a box; as well as help extend the "life" of your child's hair bows. I have also attached a "ring" from the office supply section (they come in packs of (3) for $0.97 Wal-Mart). The purpose of the ring is simply a place to put the loose ribbons. It's convenient and helps de-clutter the bathroom! PLUS if you have a lack of art work or are low on the decor budget; it makes a cute and inexpensive decoration for your child's room.
*Supplies needed:
1 med-lg cabinet door frame
1 spool of grosgrain ribbon
3 sheets of your favorite scrapbook paper
1 bottle of Mod Podge (for all of you crafty folks you SHOULD have this already) a sm bottle runs around $2 at Wal-Mart or if you choose an off brand then it's $1.75
1 colored ink pad of your choice (for ageing effects)* same as above but inks are a little pricey
1 foam brush (for application of Mod Podge)
After you've selected your door frame and have sanded it down. Measure your frame (all the way around) cut enough paper to cover frame. Then apply a VERY LIBERAL amount of the Mod Podge-set aside and let dry-this process shouldn't take too long. While frame is drying you can get your ink pad ready. When bow holder is dry take ink pad in hand and gently rub the edges of the frame with the colored ink. When finished flip frame over to it's back and attach ribbon in any sort of fashion you wish-that's what's great about crafting-YOU MAKE IT FUN & UNIQUE!!!
With what ribbon is left over you take and tie a knot in the ribbon and staple one side down then find the center of the knot and take the end of the ribbon and staple it to the other side then.....TA-DA!!! It's ready for you to hang your child's hair bows on it!
